My Story

 Growing Up Cuban

Being Cuban shaped my imagination in ways I cherish deeply. When I was a child, we didn’t have internet or cell phones, and television shows only came on after 6:00 PM. So we played outside all the time, building blanket forts, turning bushes into houses, and letting our imaginations run wild. Those carefree days with my cousins and friends taught me the joy of creating worlds from nothing.

Back then, pursuing writing felt nearly impossible. Materials were scarce, and publishing a book seemed like a distant dream. As a young adult, moving to Canada and raising a family made it even harder. But now, thanks to self-publishing, I can finally make my dream come true and share my stories with children everywhere.

A New Chapter in Canada

Moving to Canada was a turning point. With my children grown and self-publishing tools available, I realized: I can really do this now. In 2024, I began my journey as a published author. I’ve released two books so far, with two more coming soon. As a Cuban author, I’m proud to offer my stories in both Spanish and English, making my books accessible to more children around the world. While I currently use AI to help with illustrations, I’m working on creating them myself for my upcoming stories.

Why I Write for Children

Children’s stories are pure joy to create. Writing for little ones is fulfilling in a way nothing else can match. My two grandchildren inspire me daily, and knowing they will read my stories fills my heart. I love Cuban lullabies, and transforming their magic into stories is one of my favorite ways to share culture and imagination.

When children read my books, I hope they feel loved, safe, and unique. As a Christian, I aim to share God’s love in every story, teaching little hearts about kindness, patience, and the joy of imagination.

Enigmama World is my special space to connect with readers, share my journey, and hear your thoughts. It’s a magical escape, a safe place, and a world of kindness and imagination—where children and families can return again and again.

A Message to Parents and Families

My hope for parents is simple: let your child’s imagination grow. Encourage them to read more and watch less television—because the more they read, the more they learn, and the further their imagination can soar. Through stories, children can learn about God’s love, kindness, patience, and the importance of sharing. Books are a gentle, joyful way to teach life’s most important lessons.

Dreams for the Future

I hope to build a loving, vibrant community of readers and dreamers. I want to help others unleash their own creativity and, in the future, perhaps open a library in Cuba to inspire children there.

I’m currently working on two series:

• The Fairy Starlyn and The Star Catcher Series
• Cuban Lullabies Series, beginning with Mommy Hen Saves the Day

I want Enigmama World to become a place children grow up with, a magical home for families, and a space they return to for joy, learning, and imagination.

A Personal Touch

I deeply believe that every child can feel God’s love through these stories. My greatest wish is that every child knows Jesus is always with them, and that my books can help them feel that love and comfort.
